Gabriella Eva Pirisi is the Founder and Creative Director of MadCharlotte Paris. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Gabriella grew up with strong European influences before travelling extensively through Europe and eventually settling in Paris.

Living in France and travelling through the South of France, Gabriella became particularly drawn to a way of life centred around the home — from Provençal mas and Mediterranean houses opening onto gardens and terraces. She was fascinated by the way these spaces were designed not simply to live in, but for leisure, entertaining and escape, blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors and giving everyday life the feeling of a holiday.

It is a world reminiscent of the pages of Vogue Living: beautiful interiors, architecture, gardens, entertaining and personal style coming together as one expression of how we live.

Inspired by the French expression la joie de vivre, Gabriella imagined MadCharlotte within this world. She wanted to create refined flats for a woman who may be at home, entertaining or moving through her day, but who still wants to feel elegant, feminine and beautifully dressed without the formality of a heel.

Designed in France and handcrafted in Italy, MadCharlotte brings together Gabriella’s love of beautiful things, exceptional craftsmanship and a distinctly French sense of femininity and play.
